Westmoreland Baptist Church (WBC) is prayerfully seeking a pastor who will lead the congregation to grow closer to God and prayerfully pursue his mission. The church desires a Christlike leader who demonstrates a clear calling from God, a commitment to holiness, and a passion for making disciples.

Qualifications
The Ideal candidate will:
Hold a seminary degree or be actively pursuing one.
Have at least 5 years of Pastoral leadership experience.
Affirm and align with the Baptist Faith and Message.
Lives within and engage the local community.
Lead a family (if appliable) that is willing be involved in the life of the church, its ministries, and the surrounding community.
Community
Westmoreland/Spring Valley is a mostly residential community with three K-12 (3) schools. It consists primarily of middle- to low income households. Though part of Huntington, Westmoreland sits in a separate county and is located in the Tri-State region of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, near the Ohio River. Marshall University is approximately five miles from the Church.
Church Profile
WBC has served its community for more than 110 years. At its peak, Sunday morning attendance ranged from 350-400 people. Current attendance averages 60-80. The campus includes:
A sanctuary seating 400-500 (including balcony)
A two-story educational building
A Preschool/multi-purpose building which also includes a gym/fellowship hall
The church offers children’s programming and an active “Women on Mission” group. Westmoreland Baptist has a long-standing heart for missions and seeks a pastor who will help rekindle and strengthen a missional focus.
The church is debt-free. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $70,000, commensurate with education and experience.
